Some musings

While there are 13 birthdays today, none seemed interesting enough to write about. But in writing these little stories, I realized that the web pages need updating, and that there are many stupid inconsistencies in the databases as well. So I spend today trying to simplify things somewhat.

I have a tendency to make things too complicated, and as my database (the Master Genealogist) allows you to do almost anything you want to, I made many things rather convoluted.

I want to add links on the website to Google maps from the place names in the database, and in order to make that a logical display, I need to be  very consistent.

And so we keep busy. I hope to update the web sites by the end of the week, and the place links hopefully by the week after that. And so we keep busy.
