ten Bruggenkate in England

Most ten Bruggenkates in England descend from two sons of Albertus ten Bruggenkate (dutch link) and Willemina Weijdeman (In the Amsterdam and English records the name is spelled with a k). Gerardus Albertus emigrated from Amsterdam before 1819 (he married in London  in 1819), and his brother Hermanus Johannes Barend must have been there before 1836, as he married in that year in London. Both were in business in banks. I’m not sure what their father did in Amsterdam, but it is conceivable that he was in business also. These two leave much progeny in England.

However, there is one much earlier immigration into England.
1. In 1726 a Hermington Brugenkate (no doubt a transcription error for Hermen ten Bruggenkate) marries in 1726 in St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster with Mary Kellow. They have two children baptized in London, Herman and Mary
2. In 1728 a Hermen ten Bruggencate comes with letters from Amsterdam to the Dutch Reformed Churh in London. He is ym, so it is unlikely it is the same as the Herman above.
3. In 1752 a Herman ten Bruggenkate marries Hannah Beckett in St. George’s Chapel, Mayfair

So far I have not been able to determine, whether these three are related, and if so how. It is possible that Herman #3 the son is of Herman #1, but not proven. Is the Herman of 1728 related, or just visiting? And how do they fit into the larger picture of the family? Lovely puzzles remain 🙂
