     Hendrik de Haan was born on 3 Jan 1920 in Nijswiller, Wittem, (above the Restaurant A. Beckers-Hanssen.)1,3 He married Elizabeth Spaans on 10 Jun 1942.3 He died on 15 Feb 2005 in Wageningen.4 He was cremated on 21 Feb 2005 in the "Rijk van Nijmegen" Crematory in Beuningen.4 There was a death announcements, in which his wife, children, and grandchildren were mentioned.4

Other information:
     Hendrik de Haan remembers making a bike ride with his grandfather Ulpen de Haan to Nieuwe Pekela, where he harvested the rye by hand. This plot of land was at the same place as the lots where all the de Haan houses were. The original houses have been torn down, but the lots were just above the church in Noorderkolonie (map Northern Netherlands, pg. 71 or 57, coordinates 259, 562.)
Hendrik de Haan was b 1985 a tax inspector.5 He and Elizabeth Spaans lived bt 1950 - 1996 at Pootakkerweg 18 in Wageningen. and later at Generaal Foulkesweg 335.3
