Maurijntge Montenack1

F, #4884, * s 1640
Maurijntge Montenack was born s 1640 in Haarlem.1 She married Joris Box on 26 May 1665 at Rotterdam.1

Other information:

Mourijntje and Joris Bechs/Box have three children baptised in Amsterdam in the St. Nicolaas Church (Oud-Katholiek): Servatius (bap. 17 Mar 1667, son of Joris Bechs and Mourijntje Montenack, witn.: Frans Bechs and Catarina Montenack); Henricus (bap. 13 Nov 1669, son of Joris Becks and Mourijntje Montenack, witn.: Michiel Bechs and Clementia Jans); and Henricus (bap. 06 Oct 1671, son of Joris Becks and Mourijntje Montenacq, witn.: Nicholaes van der Putte en Annaetje Smit(?)2
A Servaes Montenack is listed in a rental agreement in Leiden on 1May 1640; possibly this is Mourijntje's father.3
Mouwerijntge (x Jan van Eecke) and Maurijntge (x Joris Box/Becks) are definitely different people. Possibly they are cousins. It is also not clear, whether Mouwerijntge is the same as the one, who is a witness at the baptism of Tanneke's son Hermanus in New York City on 5 Sep 1666. It is possible she came to America after the baptism of Anna on 5 Mar 1665, but no passenger lists are known, and she does not seem to have left any other records in the US.
