Richard Netherton was born in England.2 Richard was baptized on 23 Nov 1645 at Defford, Worchestershire.1,2 He married Hester Lord.2

Richard immigrated bt 1660 - 1663 to Maryland.2
In 1673 a Robert Netherton is mentioned on the Rent Rolls in St. Mary's Hundred, St. Mary's County, Maryland as the owner of 50 acres called "Netherton's Beginning." He also appears in 1675 in Patent Book 19, pg. 102. In 1707 the owner of the land is a Thomas Hopkins. By 1677 Richard had however already moved on to Stafford County, VA. No other Nethertons are mentioned in the website.3,4
