     Geertruit was from Almelo at her marriage.1 She married (NH) Hermannus ten Bruggencate, son of Gerrit ten Bruggencate and Berendje ten Bruggencate, on 11 Feb 1767 in Almelo1 (banns 24 Jan 1767, Almelo).1

Other information:
Her father was Jan Ernst. He was a silversmith, died before 1767.1
Geertruit Ernst and Hermannus ten Bruggencate made a will on 20 Dec 1775. He named his sons Gerrit, Berent and Abraham, and daughters Geesken, Kornelia, Hendrika and Clasina as heirs, she her niece Aeltje de Ruyter, wife of Jannes ten Oever. Geertruit only gets the right to continue living in the front room for the rest of her life, without paying rent.2 She presented Hermannus ten Bruggencate's will for probate on 9 Feb 1778.2
Geertruit Ernst was in 1795 a spinner.3

Geertruit Ernst and the heirs of Hermannus ten Bruggencate, Geesken ten Bruggenkate, Gerrit ten Bruggenkate, Kornelia ten Bruggencate, Hendrika ten Bruggencate, Berent ten Bruggencate and Clasina ten Bruggencate, sell by public sale a garden in the Heerlijkheid to Hendrik Bavink Hzn.4

Geertruit Ernst, the widow of Harmannus ten Bruggenkate, and Geesken ten Bruggenkate, widow of Jan Troost, together with their guardian Barent ten Bruggenkate Harmannus zn. And also Jan Vikkers, widower of Cornelia ten Bruggenkate, Berent ten Bruggencate and his wife Gerridina Schomaker, Abraham Wanschers and his wife Hendrika ten Bruggencate, Lambert Vissebokse and his wife Clasina ten Bruggencate, and Hendrik Guikink and Derk Overbeek, guardians over the minor child of Hermannus ten Bruggencate and Jenneken Guikink, all children and heirs of the late Harmannus ten Bruggenkate convey to Gerrit ten Bruggenkate and his wife Geertrui ter Braake, a house, occupied by the buyers, between the house of Tobias van Lochem and that of Dr. Heilbron.5

Geertruit Ernst, widow of the late Hermannus ten Bruggencate, with Gerrit ten Bruggenkate as guardian, and Gerrit ten Bruggenkate and his wife Geertrui ter Braake, Geesken ten Bruggenkate, widow of Jan Troost, with Jan Vikkers as guardian, Jan Vikkers, widower of Cornelia ten Bruggenkate, Berent ten Bruggencate and his wife Gerridina Schoenmaker, Abram Wanschers and his wife Hendrika ten Bruggencate, Lambert Visseboxe and his wife Clasina ten Bruggencate, all under guardianship of their husbands, and also Hendrik Geuijkink and Derk Overbeek, as guardians over the minor child of the late Hermannus ten Bruggenkate by his third late wife Jenneken Geuijkink, called Abraham, together children and heirs of the late Hermannus ten Bruggencate, convey to Hendrik Bavink Hendrikszn a garden in the Heerlijkheid.6
