     John Philip TenBruggenkate was born on 11 May 1884 in Chislehurst, London.3,2,4 He died on 20 Feb 1951 in Boscombe, Bournemouth, (1 Harcourt Road).5,6,7 An obituary appeared in the British Journal of Radiology.
Many of the older members of the Institute, especially radiologists and radiographers in Wessex, have learned with great regret of the death of Philip Ten Bruggenkate. Of Dutch extraction on his father's side, he was born at Chislehurst, and never left this country.6
