  • Was Hermen Jolink possibly a brother of Geesjen Joolink? Both are from Hengelo, both marry a Stokkelaar.
     Harmen Wilmsen Joolink was from in Hengelo at his marriage.2 He married Helena ten Stokkelaar in Almelo2,1 (banns (NH) 12 Sep 1706, Almelo.)2 He died bet 21 Feb 1759 - 21 Feb 1760 in Almelo.1

More Information:
Hermen Jolink was between 1726 and 1734, and again between 1745 and 1760 a council member of Stad Almelo.5 He lived at the time of his marriage in Almelo.2
Hermen Jolink and Helena ten Stokkelaar made a will on 25 Apr 1741. They name their children Aeltien Jolink, now married to Ulrik Jan van der Horst, and Willem Jolink, now married to Florentina Leonora de Man, as sole heirs.1 He presented Helena ten Stokkelaar's will for probate on 21 Jun 1756.1
Hermen Jolink made a will on 19 Mar 1759. He names as sole heir his son Willem Jolink and his daughter Aeltien Jolink wife of Van der Horst, each for half.6

Dr. Bernhard Meylink, and Baerent van den Berg, both as curators of the inheritance of Jan Swam and his wife Geertruid Meylink conveyed to Hermen Jolink, and his wife and heirs, their house and yard, in whivh thye had been living, with the garden behind it, between the house of Jan Vorster and that of Hermen Jolink.7

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 5 Mar 1728:
Jan Lucas took out a mortgage with Harmen Jolink and his wife Trientjen Claessen, with as collateral his house and yard, next to the house of aforementioned Burgemeester Jolink, and the house of Gerrit van Goor, presently owned by the Count of Rechteren, and also his furniture and the looms. Present were also Claes Cremer, for himself and as father and guardian over his minor daughter Trientjen Claessen, and Jan Willemsen and his wife, and Lucas Kremer and his wife. And also Jan Lucas Bolk and his wife Hendrina Leijsen, Hendrik ter Bruggen and his wife Janna Bolk, and Berent Bolk and his wife Geesken Bolk for themselves and their minor children, who all declare to assent to the loan of their resp. father (-in-law) and grandfather, and to act as security for their portion of the inheritance.8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 2 Jan 1729:
Gerhard Hobbelinck, and his wife Johanna Kramer took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their house and yard, between the house of Willem Boom and that of Jan Scherphof.9

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 17 Feb 1738:
Willem van Cleef, and also Rijchardus Revius as representative of Geertjen Kops, widow of Lucas van Cleef (proxy 16 Jan 1738 in Zwolle) conveyed to Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar en erfgenamen, a house of two dwellings at the Doele, that aforementioned Willem van Cleef and his father Lucas van Cleef had bought.10

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 27 Apr 1740:
Anna Maria Stoils, widow of Conrad Schrörs, for herself and as mother and guardian over her minor daughter Geertruit Schrörs, met haar momber Jan Bakker, and also Albert Schrörs and his wife Diena Poeten, and finally Jan Meijer and Gerrit Huiskes as representatives of the two absent children Henrik Schrörs and Jan Schrörs, and as guardians over Antoni Schrörs, Baerent Schrörs and Henrica Schrörs, conveyed to Hermen Jolink, ex-burgemeester, and his wife and heirs, the half house and yard, in which Conrad Schrörs had been living, between the half house of Abraham Lindeman and that of ex-burgemeester Hermen Jolink.11

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 16 Feb 1741:
Gerrit ter Bruggen, and his wife Gesiena Willemsen conveyed to Hermen Jolink, (ex-burgemeester) and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, a mortgage, which Berent Rigters and his wife had taken out on 600.- car. guilders.12

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 29 Apr 1743:
Gerrit ter Steege, and his wife Fenneken Berents conveyed to Harmen Jolink, (ex-burgemeester) and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, their house, located at the Gote, next to Jan Boom's hous, and occupied by Jan van 't Hag.13

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 9 Oct 1743:
Janna Kremers, widow of Gerrijt Hilgerink, with her guardian Secr. Hein, and also Geerligh Hilgerinck and his wife Henrica Donkelman and Willem Pesie and his wife Eva Hilgerink took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their house, between the house of Jan Mokkelencate and the Veltensalley, build onto the house of Jan van Lochem. The mortgage was paid off on 13 Nov 1794.14

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 17 Jul 1747:
Hendricus Arentze, and his wife Geesken Rompelman took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral the house and yard they had bought from Henrik Arentsen's widow, between the house of Jan Hendrik ten Stokkelaar, in which Barent ten Stokkelaar is living, and the house of Harmen Spijkers's widow, in which Baerent Spijker is living, and also the dwelling in the Klumpersalley, which they had bought from Lambert ten Bruggencate.15

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 3 Mar 1752:
Derk Cuiper, and his wife Geertruid Meisen took out a mortgage with Burgemeester Hermen Jolink and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their half house en yard, in which they are living, and the land and stabel behind it, next to the half house of the schoolmaster Jan Bolk. With this money they payed off a loan from Jan Bakker.16

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 15 Aug 1753:
Jan Derxsen Scherphof, and his wife Jenneke took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, Burgemeester, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their house and yard, where they are living, between the house of Burgemeester Bastiaens, where the widow of Jan Boom is living, and that of Henrik van der Scheer.17

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 15 Oct 1753:
Jan van der Noort, and his wife Anna Gesiena Waernink. Op 20 Sep 1767 verklaart Ulrijck Jan van der Horst, thans houder van deze obligatie, dat de hypotheek is afgelost took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their house and yard, next to the house of Benjamin ten Bruggencate's heirs on the Common Street. Ulrijck Jan van der Horst, who holds the mortgage, declares on 20 Sep 1767 that it has been paid off.18

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 14 May 1755:
Jan Mokkelencate, for himself, and as father and guardian over his minor children by his late wife Grietien Boom, namely Elisabeth Mokkelencate, Katrijne Mokkelencate, Gesina Mokkelencate and Willem Mokkelencate, and also as grandfather and guardian over his grandson Baerent van Oonk, the child of his late daughter Johanna Mokkelencate, and also Abraham Mokkelencate and Hendrik Mokkelencate for themselves, took out a mortgage with Hermen Jolink, and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral both their houses, the one occupied by themselves, the other rented by prosecutor Kevink.3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 16 Oct 1754:
Jan Fredrik Bolk, for himself, and as father and guardian of his minor daughter Janna Bolk, and for his absent daughter Aleida Bolk, living in Amsterdam, and also Fredrik Bolk for himself, and Judith Bolk with her guardian Secr. Hein took out a mortgage with Burgemeester Jolink and his wife Helena ten Stokkelaar and heirs, with as collateral their house and yard, in which they are living, with the garden behind it, between the house of Hendrik Wanders's chgildren and that of the widow of Andries Wanders. With this they pay off a mortgage, which they had taken out on 10 July 1718 and 20 Aug 1740 with the widow of Jan Doelen and her children. The mortgage was paid off on 16 May 1763.19
