  • Jan Vrerijcks Bouw was a brother of Lucas Bouw, because Jan mentions in his will the children of his brother. These are the same as the unmarried children of Lucas. Jan's daughter Harmina mentiones her cousins, who also are the same as Lucas's children.2,7
     Jan Vrerijcks Bouw died bet 12 Apr 1751 - 17 Jun 1751, because he made a will in April, and probate is in June.2

Jan Vrerijcks Bouw made a will on 12 Apr 1751. He names, as guardian over the children of his late brother, as sole heir, m. n. Frerik Bouw, Henrika Bouw and Mietje Bouw. He gives, for extra-ordinary reasons, his daughter Harmina Bouw, presently married to Warner Hobers, the tijns from the Erve Overhuis, and also the two dwellings, named the Westerkerke, with the adjacent land, for her lifetime. Should she die without children, then this inhertance reverts to the above named heirs.2 Jan Frerik Bouw's estate was probated on 17 Jun 1751. Warner Hobers and his wife Harmina Bouw present for probate the will of ex-council member Jan Frerik Bouw.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 1 Mar 1728:
Johannes Nijhoff, and his wife Dora Helmigs took out a mortgage with Jan Freriks, ex-burgemeester, with as collateral their house and yard, between the house of the late Vrouw Brucherus and that of ex-burgemeester Lucas Bruins.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 14 Mar 1740:
Jenneken Hilgerink widow of Jurrien Bruins, with her guardian Jan Bakker, and also Abraham Koebrugge and his wife Geertruid Bruins took out a mortgage with Jan Freriks Bouw as church deacon of Almelo, with as collateral their half house and yard with the land behind it, between the half house of Mr. Bossman and that of Jan Wanschers.8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 28 Jan 1742:
Fenneken Schuitemaker, widow of Jan Berentsen Bolk, and also Jenneke Nijhuis, widow of Baerent Bolk for herself and as mother and guardian for her minor children, with their guardian Jan Bakker, with special permission from teh Count of Rechteren, Lord of Almelo conveyed to Jan Freriks Bouw, ex-burgemeester, and heirs, their house and yard, with the land behind it, in which they are livingbetween the house of Jan Rompelman and that of Henrik Slag. And further to Albertus Bastiaan and his wife Anna Christina Lubelei and heirs the loom and the furniture. From the proceeds ƒ900.- had to be paid to burgemeester Hendrik Jan Bruins to pay off the mortgage for which these goods were the collateral.9

1750 Heerlijkheid Almelo taxlist: Jan Vrerijcks Bouw. The total estate was valued at 1262:0:0.10
