  • Lucas Bruins was likely the father of Eva Bruins, because Eva's father-in-law is Jan, and she names her 1st child Jan Lukas.Her husband Gerhard Meijlink calls Dr. Gerhard Mulleris his uncle (he is the brother of Eva's mother.)1
     Lucas Bruins was from in Almelo at his marriage.2 He married Geertruijd Janssen Mullers, daughter of Jan Muller,2,3 (banns (NH) 15 May 1692, Almelo)2 They went with certificate to Tubbergen, and married there on 12/22 Jun.2

According to Van der Vies 5 was Lucas, the father of Theodorus Bruins Burgemeester in 1710. In the will of his father-in-law in 1720, Lucas, the husband of Theodorus Bruins, is called ex-burgemeester. Both Lucassen cannot be one person, because he marries in 1692 as jm, and Theodorus marries in 1701. Lucas Bruins became a member (with certificate from Deventer) of the NH church in Almelo in 1691.6

Gerh. Meijlink, JUDr. and lawyer, as representative of his uncle Dr. Gerhard Mulleris conveyed to Lucas Bruins, (ex-burgemeester) and his wife Geertruit Mulleris and heirs, part of a house and yard, in which he is living, between the house of Jan ten Cate's widow and the Krikkenalley; and part of a house at the Hofte, between Gerrit ter Vree's house and that of Hendrik Tusvelt.1
