     Jan Rompelman was born in 1682 in Almelo.1 He married Anneken de Haas5 (banns 2 May 1709, Amsterdam. He had the consent of his father Gerrit Rompelman in Almelo, she from her mother Pietertje Groen in Naarden.)1 He died bet 1726 - 1748, because he buys a house from his parents in 1726, and his wife is a widow in the census.2,5,6

He lived at the time of his marriage in the St. Jacobsstraat in Amsterdam.1 He was a tailor.1

Jan Rompelman and his wife Anneken de Haas took out a mortgage on 11 Nov 1726 with Hendrik ten Cate Janneszn. and his wife Elisabeth Tielemans. On 11 Nov 1760 Antoni Warnaars declares that he has received ƒ300.- from the widow of Jan Rompelman. On 24 Oct 1768 he received another ƒ300.-, and op 15 Feb 1775 the remaining sum.7
Stadsgericht, Almelo, 4 Mar 1726:
Gerrit Rompelman, and his wife Geesken Holts conveyed to Jan Henrik Rompelman, and his wife Anneken de Haas, their house and yard, between the house of the late burgemeester Gerrit Bolk and that of Jan Bolk.4
