     John Whitney was born on 17 Jan 1719/20 in Stratfield, now Bridgeport, Connecticut.1 He married Deborah Smith on 17 Jan 1750/51 in the Congregational Church, at Branford, Connecticut.2,3 He died on 29 Mar 1805 in Branford, Connecticut.1
