The fire of the Century Woven Label Company Mills in Prospect Park apparently happened in February 1918. The fire departments of Prospect Park, Haledon and Paterson battled the blaze, but lack of water frustrated their efforts. The mill had been build in 1917, and the damage was estimated at $15.000, not including machinery and goods. A number of houses was also destroyed, damages there were $8000.-. The cause of the fire is unknown, but an investigation will be conducted.3
