This database contains family reconstructions based on obituaries found in Bergen County and Paterson City newspapers. Some additional research has been done. Many of these are incorporated into the GSBC FamilyFiles database, which is temporarily hosted on my website as well. I am not updating the FamilyFiles, but may update the Bergen Obituary file from time to time, if I find something interesting

In most cases, I have a copy of the article, and can provide a copy or the full text to interested people.
I have mostly transcribed the whole obituary, however, many of the later obituaries have more info, esp. about surviving children.
Not all items are obituaries, some other interesting tidbits are included also.
Updates will probably only be added for the Community News, The Record and the Ridgewood Herald- News. Other Bergen County papers may be added.
The Telegraaf and Het Oosten are Dutch language newspaper. The obituaries are very short, and give no more info than is given here.
