His parents were Anne Annes de Jong and Hylkje Annes Schilstra.2 Theunis de Jong immigrated on the Rotterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 11 Mar 1913. He was going to his uncle Bontje van de Valk in Paterson (Hawthorne), NJ. His contact in Holland is his mother, the wid. A. de Jong in Britswerd.1,3
