His parents were Willem Siersema and Trijntje Wiersema.4 Cornelius Siersma immigrated on the Nieuw Amsterdam, arriving in New York on 22 May 1906.5 He was in 1910 a bottle dealer, and in 1920 a laborer for an excavating company.3,2
