     Ootmars ten Cathe was from in Almelo at his marriage.2 He married Christina ten Cathe1 (banns (NH) 22 Oct 1719, Almelo)2 They went on 25 Nov 1719 with certificate to Enschede.2 He died on 20 Apr 1771 in Almelo.5

He was baptized (Doopsgez.) on 20 Dec 1707 by Ds. Isaac Paaschen.5
Ootmars ten Cathe and Stientje ten Cate with her guardian Secr. Hein made a will on 19 Jun 1738. They name each other as heir, with the special condition that Erve Hulscher, which is the property of Huize and Heerlijkheid Rhenen, may be used by the survivor. They name as sole heir, namely Christina ten Cate, Harmannus ten Cate, Sibram ten Kate, Catharina ten Cate and Ootmar ten Cate Ootmarszn. They wish that their eldest son Harmannus ten Cate shall manage Erve Hulscher after their death.1

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 1 Jun 1750:
Gerrit Gasthuijs, and his wife conveyed to Ootmar ten Cate, and his wife Christina ten Cathe and heirs, their house and yard, next to the Poorhouse. This was a court-ordered sale on order of Jannes Derxsen Faijer.6

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Aug 1753:
Dr. Georg Hendrik Hein, for himself, and as father and guardian of his minor children by his late wife Johanna Sidonia Huneveld, and also Engelbert Hanekamp and his wife Aleida Hunevelt, and Siemon Bakker and his wife Adolphina Sophia Hunevelt, together heirs of Ds C.W. Hunevelt, lately minister in Almelo, and his wife Johanna Franken conveyed to Ootmar ten Cate, and his heirs, their house and yard, between the house of Henrik ten Cate and that of Jacob Bavink, which is rented by the first party.7

1748 Stad Almelo census: Household of Ootmars ten Cathe (1st quarter). Household consists of Ootmars, wife Christina, and three children: Christina, 22 yr, Harmannus, 20 yr, en Siegbrand, 16 yr.. A fourth child is living near Cleve. There is also a maid Jenne, 24 yrs old. Catharina is probably the unnamed child.8
