     Gerrit Swam was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He married (NH) Aleida Jolink on 23 Aug 1739 in Almelo1 (banns (NH) 26 Jul 1739, Almelo.)1 He died b 1780, because he died before Hendrik's marriage.3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 12 Aug 1743:
Gerrit Swam, and his wife Aleida Jolink took out a mortgage with Mr. Jan Bolk, as administrator of the Poor, with as collateral their half house, in which they themself are living, between the house of Janna Herske's heirs and that of Lambert Boom.4

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Sep 1754:
Gerrit Swam, and his wife Aleida Jolink took out a mortgage with the widow of Lambert Boom and heirs, with as collateral half of two dwellings, located at the Hof van Gulik, which are presently rented by Jannes Woolthuis and Baerent Hondebrink, the other half of which belongs to Jan Wanders and the widow Bruinss. These two dwellings of Gerrit Swam were, on court order, sold on 10 Dec 1764 and the revenue was paid to prosecutor Harwig as heir of the widow of Lambert Boom.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 30 Sep 1754:
Gerrit Swam, and his wife Aleida Jolink took out a mortgage with the board of the Poorhouse of Almelo, according to a court order of 12 Aug 1723 to Mr. Jan Bolk, as boardmember of the Poorhouse, with as collateral their half house and wheere, in which they are living, the other half of which is occupied by Hendrik Hoekers, next to the house of Jan Boom in the Klomp.6
