     Berent ten Bruggencate was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He was baptized (NH) on 11 Feb 1748 in Almelo.2 He (1) married Gerritdina Schoenmaker1 (banns (NH) 5 Apr 1775, Almelo)1 They went with certificate to Vriezenveen.1 He (2) married Grietje Berends on 29 Apr 1780 in Vriezenveen.5 He died b 1809, because he died before Christina's marriage (see ten Bruggencate database.)6

He was in 1795 a baker.7 He was mentioned in the will of Harmen ten Bruggencate and Geertruit Ernst on 20 Dec 1775.8

Landgericht, Almelo, 25 Mar 1785:
Hendrik Boeschen accused Barent ten Bruggencate Hermzn because he had hit him during a argument about the Militia at Ernest Boom's house. He wants a fine of 5 gold ducates, to be paid to the Poorhouse, plus costs. Barent answers that it is true, but that Hendrik had hit him first and had called him names, and that he could sue for damages. Gerrit ten Bruggencate Abz payed the bond, and Barent is released. On 14 Apr 1785 Barent is senteced to 2 ducates, to be paid to the Poorhouse.4
