     Jan Selhorst was from in Gericht Rijssen at his marriage.1 He married (NH) Aaltjen Schuitemaker, daughter of Jan Schuitemaker and Geertruid Luickas Cuiper, on 17 Oct 1734 in Almelo1 (banns (NH) 19 Sep 1734, Almelo.)1 He died a 1778, because he was living at the time of a contract.3

He lived at the time of his marriage at Huize Almelo.1 His father was Jan Selhorst. (He died before 1734.)1
Jan Selhorst and Aaltjen Schuitemaker with her guardian Dr. E. Dull made a will on 4 Dec 1773.
They name each other as heir. They name as sole heirs their 5 children, namely Geertruid Selhorst wife of Willem Mokkelenkate, Jan Selhorst, Catharina Selhorst, Jan Hendrik Selhorst and Hendrica Selhorst.4
