Hendrijk ten Hoeve, and his wife Maria Nijenhuis took out a mortgage with Jan Bolk, ex-burgemeester, for the Poor house, with as collateral their house and yard, between the house of Jan Kosters and Town Hall.7

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 19 Feb 1720:
Arent Swam, and his wife Geesje Prinssen took out a mortgage with Jan Bolk, for the Poor of Almelo, with as collateral their half house at the Hof van Gulik, the other half of which is owned by Henrik Swam and occupied by Gerrit Henriks, and also a half house at the Hof van Gulik, the other half of which is owned by the widow of Lucas Prinsen, and occupied by Egbert Kiekebos.8

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 14 Oct 1717:
Claas Kremer, and his wife Trijntien Schuitemaker took out a mortgage with Jan Bolk, for the poor of Almelo, with as collateral their house and yard, on the street between the Gasthuis and the Rietmakers alley.9
