Douwe Harmensz was born circa 1624 at Friesland, The Netherlands, (24 y.o. in 1649; 54 in 1678.)1,2,3 He was from Buytenpost when he married.3 He married Dirckje Theunisse on 23 September 1649 at Breuckelen, The Netherlands.3 (Banns on 11 September 1649 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He was Douwe Harmansz van Buytenpost, 24 yrs old, his witness was his petermoy(?) Annetie ?; she Dirckie Teunis van Breuckelen, her witness was her brother Hendrick Teunis; m. 23 Sep in Breuckelen. There is more, but it is hard to read.)3 Douwe Harmensz was buried on 19 June 1687 in the DRC, at Bergen in the church, as "Douwe Hermense Talma."4,5

Hans Harmanse lived at Constable's Hoeck.2,5 He and Willemtie Warnaers made a will on 12 November 1694. It was proved October 6, 1701. They were of Constapels Hook. They mentioned children of Willemtje by her first husband Harmen van Borckeloo: Jannetje, Reynier and Harmen; her brother-in-law Jan Harmensen van Borceloo; children of Hans and Willemtje: Tryntje and Annetje Hans; Willem van Borckeloo. The survivor to be executor. Witnesses: Hessel Wiggerts and Baerendt Christianse. Codicill of October 19, 1700, signed only by Hans Harmens, provides for grandson Hartman Claus, as whose guardians son John Harmanson and Daniel Shottwell are named. Witnesses Ellis Duxbury and John Oven. Inventory dated 12 Nov 1700 Nov. 12. Made by Cornelis Neeirus and Ephraim Tealer for the sake of partition between Pieter van Boskerck as husband and guardian of Tryntje Hans as heiress and Jan Harmense van Borckelo and Daniel Sadwell as administrators and guardians for Hartman Claesen, heir of Annetje Hans, incl. debts due by Willem van Borckeloo, Jan van Borckeloo, Hartman Michielse, Jan Aertsen van der Bilt and Brant Schuyler.6 Annetje and her father Hans were from New Utrecht, Long Island in 1697. Hans later lived in Bergen.1,5
