Alan Schade was a chemist (wax production) in New York.3,2 Helen was born in 1900 in Illinois.2 Alan and Helen had 2 children: Alan Jr. and Janet D.2 J. was born circa 1927 in New York.2,4,5 Alan Jr. Schade graduated on 20 July 1944 from Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood. Alan was one of the last graduating class of Radburnites of Ridgewood High School. He planned to go to Cornell.5,4

     William Duerr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl B. Duerr of Burnham Place and Alan Schade, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Alan Schade of Addison Place left on Friday (July 17), and are at Great Lakes Naval Base. They passed V-6 tests and are training as radio technicians.5
Alan and Helen were listed in 1937-9 at 6 Brearly Crescent, in 1940 at 333 Howard Ave, and in 1941-6 at 8 Addison Place.
