The Ancestors of My Grandchildren

     Evert Kramer was born c 1634 in Neuenhaus.⁶ He married Hendrickien Krul, daughter of Wilhelm Krul and Gese van Dorsten, at Neuenhaus, Germany,^2,1 (banns (NH) 31 Jan 1664, Ootmarssum.)² He was buried on 28 May 1681 at Neuenhaus as Burgomaster Evert Kramer.¹

Evert Kramer was Burgomaster of Ootmarssum or Neuenhaus, depending on the source. It is unclear whether there is an Evert and an Everhardus, or that these are the same people.^7,6,1
     NOTE: The banns in Ootmarsum have the fathers as Bernardus Kramer and Willem Krul; Geni.com has Everhardus as son of Berend/Bernardus and Fenne Meijnarts Lohman, and as Burgomaster of Ootmarsum. Neuenhaus OFB has Evert's father as Wilhelmus, and Evert as Burgomaster of Neuenhaus.
     There have to be two different Everts, but they seem to have been merged. It would be strange that he would be burgomaster of Ootmarsum, and all his children are bp. in Neuenhaus, although it would be possible, the towns are only about 10 miles apart. None of the sources has complete information. Ootmarsum DTB has many Kramers and Krulls; but so does Neuenhaus. Bernardus has at least three more children in Ootmarsum: Meinard, Reint and Susanna (from baptism sponsors, and marriages); Willem has two more sons in Neuenhaus: Wilhelmus, who has progeny, and Franciscus, who died unmarried.^2,8,699
