     Geert ten Bruggencate was born b 1617, as otherwise he is too young for the marriage and for his role in the courtrecords. He married Fenna Meijers, daughter of Johan Meijer and Jenneken Schulten, b 1642.3 He died bt 1671 - 1674 in Almelo.3

Other information:

Geert ten Bruggencate was an innkeeper. In 1662 a house sale is finalized in the house of Geert ten Bruggencate, and the tab for the wine is 14 Car. guilders. Apparently it was the custom to celebrate the sale of a house in this fashion.6 He gives c 1659 10 guilders for the repair of the school at Stad Almelo.78

Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate and his wife Marijke Baarsker owe Albert Teuse in Rectum and his wife Gese 480 car. gld. for wood, delivered to Jan and his brother Geert. They give as security their house and garden, situated between the house of Jan Jansen ten Cate and that of Evert Frederix (Paid off 31 okt 1695.)16,3
Jan Meijer was the father-in-law of Geert ten Bruggencate, on 28 Apr 1656 Jan Meijer declares that his daughter (Fenne) is married to Geert ten Bruggencate.2 Herman ten Bruggencate was the son (of age) of Geert ten Bruggencate.17,18
