Edward Bangs was an innkeeper in Plymouth and Eastham, and a highway surveyer in Eastham. He served on grand juries in Plymouth, and on various committees in both Plymouth and Eastham.2 He is involved in many real estate transactions.2 Edward immigrated in 1623 on the 'Anne' to Plymouth Colony.1,2
Edward Bangs made a will on 19 Oct 1677. It was proved 5 Mar 1677/78. He lists his sons Jonathan, John, and Joshua; his grandson Edward Bangs (eldest son of Jonathan), his daughters (Sarah) Howes, (Lydia) Higgens, (Hannah) Done, (Bethia) Hall, (Mercy) Merricke, and (Apphia) Attwood or Wood; as well as the unnamed children of his deceased daughter Rebecka (Sparrow.)4

Edward Bangs, Robert Hicks, and John Rogers all were in Plymouth Colony, and are mentioned on all kinds of lists in Stratton's book "Plymouth Colony: Its History and People." A number of other surnames (i.e. Pratt, Washburn, Leonard, Warren) occur in our genealogy and are in Plymouth Colony, but a connection has not been found.
