     Thomas Clapp was born on 15 Mar 1639 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.2 He married Mary Fisher on 10 Nov 1662 at Dedham, Massachusetts.2,3 He died b 29 Jan 1691 because his will was proved at that date.2

     He moved to Dedham, to the part that later became Walpole.2
Thomas Clapp and Mary Fisher had eight children, all probably born in Dedham, Massachusetts: Thomas (b. 26 Sep 1663, d. 28 Jan 1704), John (b. 29 Feb 1665, d. 12 Mar 1665), Joshus (b. 1667, d. 1728), Mary (b. 13 Dec 1669), Eliezer (b. 4 Nov 1671), Abigail, Hannah, and Samuel (b. 21 Aug 1682, d. 13 Jun 1772).2
Thomas Clapp made a will on 14 Dec 1688. It mentions his wife Mary Clap, his oldest son Thomas Clap, his other sons Joshua, Eliezer and Samuel Clap, and his daughters Mary, Abigail and Hannah. His sons Thomas and Joshua are the executors. He appoints his friend Samuel Barber, his brother John Fisher, and his cousin George Plimpton, all of Medfield as overseers.2
