     Mary Watson was born c 1642 in Massachusetts.^2,3 She married Thomas Leonard, son of James Leonard and ? ?, on 21 Aug 1662 at Plymouth, Massachusetts.^2,1 She died on 1 Dec 1723 in Taunton.^3,4

     She died intestate. Her son Samuel Leonard was appointed administrator of the estate on 21 Jan 1723/24. The inventory was taken in January by Seth Williams, John Andrews and John Kinge.⁴
     The estate of Thomas Leonard and Mary Watson paid out its debts between 1714 and 1724. A number of receipts are in the probate records of Bristol County. John Leonard and Samuel Leonard pay out the money. Receipts are signed by Jonathan Williams (in 1713 with his wife, and in 1724 as guardian of his (now deceased) wife Elisabeth's children), George Leonard (in 1714, but in 1724 his wife Anna Leonard for her deceased husband), Mary Tisdal (in 1713 with her husband Joseph, and in 1724 without him), Thomas Leonard (1714, 1724), Elkanah Leonard (1714). Also receipts signed by Nathaniel Paine (1714), Abigail Gibbs (1714), John King (1714), and Richard Godfree.⁵
     Anna Leonard of Norton was on 14 Jan 1724/25 appointed guardian over Abiel, Ephraim and Mary, the minor grandchildren of Madom Mary Leonard of Taunton.⁶
