     James Warriner was born on 21 Jan 1640/41 in Springfield, Massachusetts.1 He (1) married Elisabeth Baldwin on 31 Mar 1664 at Springfield.3 He (2) married Sarah Alvord on 10 Jul 1689 at Springfield, Massachusetts.2 He (3) married Mary Graves, daughter of John Graves and Mary Smith, on 29 Dec 1703 at Springfield, Massachusetts.2 He died on 14 May 1727.2

James Warriner and Sarah Alvord had one daughter Sarah (b. 13 Oct 1690 in Springfield).2

He signed the oath of fidelity on 23 Mar 1655/56 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and was elected constable of Springfield, Massachusetts on 28 Aug 1670.2,5
     On 21 Feb 1684/85 he invested in a sawmill in Springfield, Massachusetts, together with Thomas Merrick, Thomas Day, Samuel Ball, Thomas Stebbins, Joseph Stebbins, John Burt, and Henry & Major Pynchon.2,6

On 2 Feb 1668/69 Thomas Dewey, Robert Ashley, James Warriner, William Warriner, Thomas Noble, David Ashley and Jonathan Ashley was among the signers from Springfield of a petition protesting the imposition by England of customs on goods imported into or exported from Massachusetts Colony.7,8
On 21 Sep 1688 he took part in a skirmish at Quabauch to protect its inhabitants, who were weak and few.2
