The Ancestors of My Grandchildren

     Maritje Frans was born in 1601 in Swindrecht.² She married Reijer Reijersz (banns 28 Dec 1630, Amsterdam.)²

Other information:
     From the baptisms of her son Marten's children one can infer that her mother was either Helena or Cornelia. Interestingly there are two NH baptisms in Dordrecht, the town next to Zwijndrecht for a Marrieke/Marijtje, daughter of Frans:
1. 1 Feb 1601, Marijken, daughter of Frans Henrijx and Hilleken Henrijx (they have 4 more children between 1588 and 1601); and
2. 1 Sep 1601, Maricken, daughter of Frans Jansz and Neelken Adriaensdr (they have 5 more children between 1589 and 1606).
Hilleke would correspond to Helena, Neeltje to Cornelia. As Helena comes after Jacobus, who was named for his mother's relative, Helena should be named after her father's relative. However, as Marten is supposed to have a brother Adrian, Neeltje would also make sense.³
