     Hermanus Johannes Barend ten Bruggenkate was born on 12 Jul 1804 in Amsterdam.2,3 Hermanus Johannes Barend was baptized (NH) on 1 Aug 1804 in the Zuiderkerk, in Amsterdam2 (license (Faculty Office, Archdiocese of Canterbury) 31 May 1836, London).4 He married Mary Rouse on 25 Jun 1836 in the Saint Mark's Church, in Kennington, London.5 He died on 17 Dec 1877 in Stockwell, Lambeth, London, (66 Stockwell Park Road)6,7,8, and was buried on 21 Dec 1877 in the Norwood Cemetery.9
