     Willem Frederik Karel Gouwe was born on 25 Sep 1830 in Alkmaar. 21 He married Rika Margaretha Jacoba ten Bruggencate, daughter of Jan ten Bruggencate and Maria Wilhelmina Hendrika van Bolhuis, on 24 Oct 1869 in Stad Almelo1 (banns 26 Sep 1869, Stad Almelo).1

Willem Frederik Karel Gouwe was in 1869 director of the post office in Stad Almelo. After 1890 he was director in Alkmaar2.1 His parents were Adraan Herman Gouwe and Willemina Helling.1 He was a triplet.
"It is a rare occurrence that triplet brothers celebrate their 60th birthday together in good health. The triplet brothers Willem Frederik, ex-navy officer, Willem Frederik George Lodewijk, notary, and Willem Frederik Karel Gouwe, postmaster in Alkmaar, all named after members of the Royal House of Orange, had this privilige last Thursday, in the presence of their wives and children"3.
