Other information:

It is unlikely that the Hermke Janssen ten Bruggencate in the picture is the same as this Hermken ten Bruggencate. The portrait is dated 1655. She would have been at least 60 years old, when she married Jan Koppers, if we assume that she was at least 20 at the time of the portrait. But who is she? Possibly Hermken ten Bruggencate is the daughter of Jan Gerrits ten Bruggencate and Hermke Janssen ten Bruggencate the daughter Hermken of Jan ten Bruggencate and Marijke Baarschers.

Name variants: Harmtjen Jansen ten Bruggen Cate (at marriage).2
Jan Gerrits ten Bruggencate could be the father of Hermken ten Bruggencate, she marries in 1695, and she would be rather old, if she was a daughter of Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate. This also makes a space for Hermke Janssen ten Bruggencate, de Hermke of the portrait, as she has the ideal age to be a daughter of Jan Harmsen ten Bruggencate.
