  • Wilbrandt Harmsen was the uncle of Herman ten Bruggencate, because Herman appears in 1698 for his uncle Wilbrandt Harmsen before the court of Ootmarsum.1
     Wilbrandt Harmsen married Geese Hermsen, daughter of Herman Lubbers and Gerritje Jans van Holten, b 1652.2 He died a 1677, because he is mentioned in a mortgage.3

Frederik Derk Bakker, and his wife Aele ten Bruggencate and Herman ten Bruggencate and his wife Susken Glaasemaacker conveyed to Wilbrandt Harmsen, and Geese Hermsen, his wife, the house of the late Johan Meijer, located between the house of Jan Schimmelpennink and that of Jan Mulder.4,5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 14 Feb 1677:
Wilbrandt Harmsen, and his wife Geese Hermsen took out a mortgage with Jan Schimmelpennink, and his wife Stijntien Costers, with as collateral their house and yard, that used to be occupied by Johan Meijer and his wife Jenneken Meijer, located between the house of Jan Schimmelpennink and that of Jan Muller.3
