  • Was Willem Janssen possibly the son of Jan Wilmsen? Willem's father died before 1712, Jan before 1714, but with only patronymics this will be difficult.
     Willem Janssen was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He married Geesje Janssen Bolk, daughter of Jan Bolk and Hermken Wolters ten Bruggencate, in Almelo1 (banns (NH) 9 Oct 1712, Almelo.)1 He died b 1736, because he died before Jan's marriage.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 6 Aug 1715:
Hermken Wolters ten Bruggencate, widow of Jan Bolk, together with Jan van Senderen and his wife Fenneken Bolk, and Willem Prikkink and his wife Geesken Bolk took out a mortgage with Jenneke Roeters, with as collateral their half house, between the house of Berend Holtman and the half house of Aalke Wolters ten Bruggencate.3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 7 Nov 1718:
Willem Prikkink, and his wife Geesken Bolk conveyed to Derk Engberts, and his wife Janna, their house and yard, between the house of Otto Lindeman and the alley to the Hofkamp. Part of the proceeds is used to pay of a mortgage, which Berend Demmers or his wife had taken out on 22 Aug 1702 from Wolter van der Linde.4
