  • Was Berend Holtman possibly the father of Janna Holtman? No parents mentioned at marriage, but if Hendrina is Berend's daughter than Janna is prob. also.
  • Berend Holtman was likely the father of Hendrina Holtman, because Hendrina and her husband buy Berend's house, and promise to support him. Berend married Fenneke, and Hendrina has a daughter Fenneke.6
  • Could Berend Holtman be related to Fenneke Bolk and Gerrit Bolk?. Fenneke's husband Berend Holtman pays off Gerrit Bolk's mortgage. However, the marriage dates make it unlikely that Gerrit is Fenneke's father.7
  • Was Berend Holtman possibly a brother of Henrik Holtman? They owned a house together, and both are also called Pastoors.
     Berend Holtman was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He married (NH) Fenneke Bolk, daughter of Gerrit Bolk, on 10 Jul 1698 in Almelo1,5 (banns 19 Jun 1698, Almelo.)1 He died b 1748, because his wife is a widow in the census.8

Gerrit Scholten, and his wife Jenneke Holtmans took out a mortgage with Berend Holtman, their brother(-in-law) and his wife Fenneke Bolk, with as collateral their half house, between the half houses of Harmen ten Cate en Derk de Ruiter.5

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 8 Feb 1723:
Reint Bruins, and his wife Hermken took out a mortgage with Baerent Pastoors, and his wife Fenneke Bolk and heirs, with as collateral their boat.9

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 3 Feb 1716:
Aaltjen Wolterssen ten Bruggenkate, widow of Gerrit Donkelman, with her guardian Jan Bakker, for herself and as guardian over her minor children took out a mortgage with Berend Holtman, and his wife and heirs, with as collateral her quarter house and yard, of which the other quarter belongs to her brother Henrik Wolters, between the half house of Hermken Wolters ten Bruggencate and the house of Cornelis Trovest.10

Hendrikje Willemsen widow of Henrik ten Bruggencate, for herself and as mother and guardian of her minor children, with her guardian Jan Bakker, took out a mortgage with Berend Holtman and his wife Fenneke Bolk, with as collateral her quarter house and yard, an other quarter of which belongs to Aaltjen, the widow of Gerrit Donkelman, and the other half to Hermken Wolters ten Bruggencate, widow of Jan Bolk, next to Berend Holtman's house.11

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 24 Aug 1720:
Hermken Wolters ten Bruggencate widow of Jan Bolk, with her guardian Jan Bakker took out a mortgage with Berend Holtman and his wife Fenneke Bolk, with as collateral her half house, next to the house of Berend Holtman, the other half of which belongs to the widow of Gerrit Donkelman and the widow of Henrik ten Bruggencate.12

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 1 Feb 1723:
Hendrik Bruggink, and his wife Hermken took out a mortgage with Baerent Pastoors, and his wife Fenneke Bolk and heirs, with as collateral their house, near the Hofkampsvonder, next to the house of Jan Webben Sr. This was for the delivery of boards and roof shingles.13

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 13 Jan 1725:
Maria ter Keurst, widow of Burgemeester Henrik Holtman, and her daughter Geertruit Holtman with their guardian Secr. Hein took out a mortgage with Baerent Pastoors, and his wife Venneken Bolk, with as collateral all their furniture and their half house, in which they are living, at the Stream, of which the other half belongs to Arent Pastoors.3

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 5 May 1729:
Aalken Wolters, widow of Gerrit Denkelman, for herself and as mother and guardian over her minor daughter Henrica Denkelmans and Aaltjen van Locchem, and Hendrikjen ten Hoeve, widow of Henrik Wolters, for herself and as mother and guardian over her minor son Wolter ten Bruggencate, and Baerent Pastoors and his wife Fenneken Bolk (Jan Bakker is guardian over Aalken and Hendrikjen, Henrik Tusveld and Jurrien Wanschers are guardians over Henrica, and Evert Wilmsen and Jurrien Willemsen are guardians over Wolter) conveyed to Jan ten Cate Gerritszn, and his wife Henrica Denkelmans and Aaltjen van Locchem and heirs, their house and yard between the house of Baerent Pastoors and that of Cornelis Troost.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 3 Sep 1737:
Berend Holtman, and his wife Venneken Bolk conveyed to Gerhardus Swam, and his wife Hermiena Holtman and heirs, their half house and yard, next to teh half house of the mason Travest, in which the sellers are living. This sale includes the tradegoods that are present in the house. The buyer pays partially in money, and for the rest he takes over the seller's debts, and he also promises to support and house the sellers.6
