George Leonard made a will on 30 Aug 1716. He mentions his wife Anna, five daughters Phebe, Anna, Abigail, Marcy and Mary, son George, 2nd son Nathaniel, 3rd son Ephraim (all are under age), his grandfather Watson, his uncle James Leonard and sisters Elisabeth Williams and Mary Tisdal. Witnesses are John Leonard, Benjamin Ware and Ephraim Lane.1,5
Receipt for legacies from his estate, paid by Anna Leonard were signed in 1730 by George Leonard of Norton, Ephraim Leonard of Norton, Joseph and Phebe Reynolds of Bristol, Warham and Abigail Williams of Watertown. Ephraim's receipt mention Abiel, the fact that his sister Anna Leonard had died after she turned 21, and that his grandmother Mary Leonard had died intestate. Phebe's receipt mentions the same. Abigail's also mentions that her sister Marcy Leonard is deceased. In 1728 Nathaniel Leonard, Ephraim Leonard, and George Leonard signed receipts for legacies from the estate of their sister Anna Leonard.6
