     He graduated from Harvard in 1725. He was ordained in Taunton in 1728/9. After some years he left the ministry and moved to Scituate. He served several terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and was a judge in the County Court.1,4
Thomas Clapp made a will on 11 Jan 1769. It mentions his wife Esther, his son John, five younger children Thomas, Mary, Hannah, Augustus, Chandler, and Rufus, as well as his grandson John, son of son John. His wife Esther and daughter Mary are to be executors.1
