     Aaltje Selhorst was born on 9 Feb 1802 in Almelo.3 Aaltje was baptized (NH) on 11 Feb 1802 at Almelo.3 She married Hendrik Jan ten Bruggencate, son of Lambert ten Bruggencate and Johanna Selhorst, on 6 Aug 1829 at Stad Almelo1 (banns 26 Jul 1829, Stad Almelo.)1 She died on 27 Sep 1830 in Stad Almelo (Oude Einde (wijk 3) #61.)2

     Hendrik Jan’s first wife Aaltje Selhorst was also his aunt. Hendrik Jan’s mother was a half-sister of Aaltje’s father. The age difference between the two half-sisters was 29 years, but they had to get dispensation from the Crown to marry.1
