     George Watson was born c 1602.1 He married Phoebe Hicks, daughter of Robert Hicks and Margaret.1 He died on 31 Jan 1688/89 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.1

Other information:
George immigrated in 1631 to Penobscot (which was part of Massachusetts at that time) and had moved to Plymouth by 1634.1
George Watson was in 1653 a mariner. In 1653 he and his barque were impressed into military service.1
     He became a freeman of Plymouth Colony prob. in 1634. He served on several juries, and was twice selectman of Plymouth Colony1 In 1635 he bought a house and garden in Plymouth Colony from John Jenny. He was granted several acres a few years later, and he continues to buy and sell land until 1681.1
On 9 Jul 1689 Major William Bradley, son of William Bradley, Esq. deceased, gave a quitclaim deed to the inhabitants of Taunton, Massachusetts. They paid £20.- for it. George Watson was listed among the original purchasers.2
