     Both Haijo Epkens and Tammo Nannes and Focko Frericks are great-grandchildren of Eppo Lupkes. If Haijo is a brother Lupke, he would be a grandchild of L, not a great-grandchild; but he could be a son of Lupke's brother Epko Lupkes. Most online sources have Haijo and Memmo as brothers of Lupke; but Memmo has minor children in 1603; while Lupke has an adult grandchild.

Eppe Lupkens, in Westerlee, sells to the late Haijo Eppens (crossed out: the guardian over Haijo Eppens children, Sijncko Eppens) 12 acres land, located across the Dollard in Tijncke camp, bordered on the east by the vicarage in Midwolda, on the west by the presbytery. Located in 3 acres, the other 12 acres belong to Wipke Tijackens, from the AE in the north Reints boesch (?) Witnesses: Luido Ubbens en Sijse Gerdts.2

     Both Eppo Memmes and Epko Lupkes would have children with patronymic Eppens; except for the court record of 1611 it is nearly impossible to tease them apart.
