The following is the probable marriage entry in the Kent Barbour Collection, pg. 89 (NEHGR): Elizabeth Waller, m. Joseph Wahyfood(?) 31 May 1775, by Rev. Joel Bordwell, as well as the birth of Joseph and Waller Wahyfood (?). It seems likely to be this one, but should ideally be checked.7
Joseph Washburn had (in addition to the 4 sons) 3 daughters: Polly, wife of John Potter of Gibson, Betsey, wife of Elisha Harding of Herrick, and Mrs Howe, of the lake country.2
Joseph Washburn, the father, came from Massachussetts to Lackawanna County, PA. The sons Joseph, Samuel, Ebenezer and Waller moved to the central part of what was to become Gibson Township in 1802.2

The old Washburn site had the following:
(486.) Joseph5 Washburn, eldest son of (133) Ebenezer4 Washburn, (59) Joseph3, (43) John2 (5th), (28) John1 (4th); born in New Milford, CT, on 16 May 1727,[16] possibly married (397) Mary5 Washburn, daughter of (120) Timothy4 and Hannah Washburn, of Coventry, CT, on 14 May 1752 in Sharon, Litchfield Co., CT.[17] She was born on 15 Oct. 1725 in Bridgewater, MA,[18] a granddaughter of (57) Thomas3 and Deliverance2 (Packard) Washburn, of Bridgewater, and they supposedly settled in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. He was not a head of household in Litchfield Co., CT, in the 1790 federal census.
Joseph Washburn and Mary Washburn probably had at least one son:
1532 i Joseph6 Washburn (Jr.), born say 1752, possibly in Kent, CT, probably the Joseph Washburn who married Elizabeth Waller,[19] in say ca. 1775,[20] and also lived in Kent, CT.

She apparently died by 1775, and he remarried to (2) Elizabeth Waller on 31 May 1775 in Kent, CT,[19] and they moved to Luzerne Co., PA.[20] He died intestate in ca. 1812 in Luzerne Co., PA, and his wife Elizabeth Washburn was granted administration of his estate.[21]
