     Jannes Meijer was born in Heerlijkheid Almelo.2,1 He was baptized (RK) on 28 Oct 1767 in Tubbergen. Sponsors were Bernardus Vonken and Joanna Reevinck.2 He married (RK) Wilmina Geerdink, daughter of Jan Geerdink and Maria Veldhof, on 3 Feb 1793 in Almelo3 (banns 4 Jan 1793, Almelo.)1 They were married (NH) on 3 Feb 1793 in Almelo.1 He died on 27 Sep 1816 at Krommendijk, house #338 in Almelo. Bartus Diekers and Gerrit Schutten were the witnesses.7

Abraham Hanterman was one of the founders of the St. Georgius Parish on 30 May 1784, and the first church master. Together with Jannes Meijer he signed the agreement with Sophia Carolina Florentina Gravin van Rechteren Vrijvrouwe van Almelo en Vriezenveen, in which she told them the terms and conditions for the building of a new RC church building.8,9

In Almelo, in 1812:Jannes Kieften officially adopted the name Schreever for himself and his sons Gradus and Mannes.6
