  • Barend Hindriksen Blenken was the father of Jan Blenken, because he names the 1st son Berent, and the 2nd daughter Elsken, Barend's wife is Elsje. Jan is not mentioned in his uncle's will.
     Barend Hindriksen Blenken was from in Almelo at his marriage.1 He married Elsje Jans Blijdenstein, daughter of Jan Beerents van Blijdenstein and Niessien Clomp,1 (banns (NH) 20 Mar 1692, Almelo)1 They went on 6 Apr 1692 with certificate to Zwolle.1 He died b 1712, because he is mentioned as deceased in his brother's will.2

Stadsgericht, Almelo, 20 Nov 1724: Gerrit Bolk took out a mortgage met Jan Knoef, as guardian over the minor children of Barend Hindriksen Blenken, namely Jan Blenken and Geesken Blenken, with as collateral a piece of land, behind the garden of Albert Ruijnx, with the stipulation that the lender will be allowed to use the land until the mortgage has been paid.4
