Gerardus Koelen was born s 1764 in Wierden.1 He married Hermina van het Veldhuis1 (banns (NH) 18 Jan 1794, Almelo)1 They went on 10 Feb 1794 with certificate to Tubbergen.1

He lived at the time of his marriage in Heerlijkheid Almelo.1 His parents were Berend Koelen and Berendina Krooshoop. (He died before 1794.)1
Both Gerardus and Hermina are also called Braakhuis, and Hermina is also Elsebroek (when the children marry in Tubbergen.)
