Is Steven the same person as Jan Schapedijk? According to Gerard de Voer: Steven van Tijhoff was the grandfather of Triene van Tijhoff. In the census Steven is the father of Jannes. Is Steven maybe Aele's 2nd husband? The only Steven married to Aaltje is Steven Arens van het Scholtenhuis.

Steven van Tijhoff died a 1763, because he was living at the time of Abraham's marriage.¹
