  • Other names or spelling variations:
  • Herman Jurriens (his patronymic, but he was living at Bruggen kate.)
  • Herman can not be the same person as Harmen ten Bruggencate. But they are probably of the same generation. It could be possible that they are brother-in-laws (married to a unknown sister) or cousins, and that the father of Herman (Jorrien Hindriks) is also the father of Hindrick Jurijens.1,2
     More Information:

Jorrien Hindriks' son Herman ten Bruggencate still owes a guilder to Arend Kenkhuis, and Arend has delivered 2 skins to Herman. Arend later settled with Herman ten Bruggencate, incl. the rent, so he paid him 37 guilders and 14 nickels, but this does not include the payment to the skippers, this has to be deducted from the payment.1
Arend Kenkhuis gave on 16 May 1641 to Luken Bruggink 3 daalders for the transporters of the rafts; paid for 6 rafts 24 guilders; 3 rafts to Enter, 1 raft to Luken, 1 raft to Herman ten Bruggencate's son Jorrien, 1 raft to Herman, 6 rafts altogether.2
