When Gerrit' son Gerrit dies in 1829 in Utrecht, he is age 68, and his parents are listed as Lucas Nieuwenhuis and Catharina ter Mars.4 He was mentioned in the will of Hendrik Wanders and Judith Nieuwenhuis on 26 May 1747.1
