Hermen Berents Berkhof and Berentien Alberts made a will on 21 Jan 1718. They name each other as heir. They name as sole heirs their children, Berent Hermsen Berkhof, Jennegien Hermsen Berkhof the elder, Jennegien Hermsen Berkhof the younger, Albert Hermsen Berkhof, and the child of their late daughter Aaltien Hermsen Berkhof, namely Lutje Derks Faaier. This grandchild will also receive the clotheschest of his grandfather and 1/5th part of his good clothes. The youngest daughter will receive the cupboard instead of the chest. After the death of the survivor the Reformed Poor of Almelo will receive 20 Car. gld.1
