Jan Muller made a will on 16 Feb 1720. He names as sole heir his 5 children, namely Geertruijd Janssen Mullers wife of ex-council member Lucas Bruins, Otto Mullerus husband of Anna Bolk, Ds. Gerhardus Mullerus, Aaltjen ?, widow of Gerrit Mullerus, to be divided into 5 equal portions. If his son Ds. Gerhardus Mullerus does not marry, he will only have the use of the inheritance, if he does this restriction is void (Note: only 4 of the 5 children are named.)4
Jan Muller made a will on 8 Dec 1721. He adds a provision to his will. His youngest son Willem Mullerus will get his house and ground with two more dwellings, called the Poljanshuis, situated near the Hofkampsvonder, next to the house he had bought from Hendrik Lubberts, and the Branderie with what belongs to it, the boat with sail etc., and the land on which the Branderie is standing. His son will be allowed to buy the land, called the Maatien, with the garden across from it for the sum of ƒ7500.- car. gld, after which the rest of the estate will be divided equally among his 5 children.5

Gerrit Jansen Backer, and his wife Aele ten Caete took out a mortgage with Jan Muller, and his wife and heirs, with as collateral their house, in which they are living, next to the house of Albert Hietbrink. They add this to money they had borrowed on 28 May 1668 from the late widow of Gerrit Muller.2
